Welcome! Theta Tau is more than just a student group or club. We are Boston University's only professional, co-ed, engineering fraternity. As a professional fraternity, Theta Tau allows members to unite over their interest in engineering while sharing a bond stronger than friendship. At its core are three pillars: Service, Profession, and Brotherhood. These pillars serve to inspire members to be ethical, responsible, and civic-minded engineers throughout their time as undergraduates and beyond. Brothers of Theta Tau are upstanding members of their communities. They are involved in more than just their academics, and truly strive to improve the lives of others, whether that be through mentorship programs or even just tutoring friends. Theta Tau provides a supportive environment for undergraduate engineers, and an impressive professional network for the years after graduation.

"In our fraternity, brotherhood is about both the immediate connections we make within our chapter, but also access to a network of brothers all across the country. We host events that allow us to bond and get to know each other so that we can form friendships that outlast our years here at BU. They also allow us to take a break from the rigorous courses that accompany majors in engineering. We have a fraternity formal, apple picking, hikes, scavenger hunts, escape the room events, and so much more. We also host a retreat once every semester where brothers play games, get to know each other better, and reflect on their experience with the fraternity. All of these events help brothers form close bonds within our own chapter, but we also work to connect with other chapters as well. Theta Tau makes possible connections that may otherwise be unlikely and establishes a long-lasting atmosphere of brotherhood."

"As students at Boston University, we will spend at least four years of our lives living in the city of Boston. Community service is a pillar of Theta Tau that encourages utilizing our skills and opportunities to be active, engaged citizens in both our local and national community. Theta Tau's commitment to service, coupled with Boston University's dedication to creating "Societal Engineers," pushes our brothers to reach out and interact with the greater Boston community in many ways each semester. We have built long-standing relationships with incredible organizations like Daily Table, the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, and WGBH. Through these relationships, our brothers have learned how to serve our communities' needs in a way that benefits not only the organizations that we work with but our own personal growth as leaders and citizens."

"Professional Development is the main differentiator between Theta Tau and other fraternities at BU. It is a space for brothers to mentor each other, take risks, and help one another succeed. In Psi Delta chapter, we equip our brothers with the tools to further themselves and their professional goals, via workshops, Q&A sessions with recruiters, and alumni connections. Through our professional development pillar, brothers become success-driven role models for new members and non-fraternal peers."
